Brothers and Sisters,

Our work in sheet metal makes Rhode Island buildings safer, and sharing the benefits of the state’s building boom with workers makes our communities stronger. It’s our duty to ensure the next generation of sheet metal workers can afford to stay in this state that we’re helping to build.

That’s why we voted to go on strike effective last Friday, the day our Rhode Island contract expired. We need to make sure both our experienced workers and newer apprentices receive a fair wage.

All Rhode Island members should report to your current shop to strike starting tomorrow at 7 AM.

We’re committed to fighting for you and your family, no matter what. We know we’re building Rhode Island for a better tomorrow. And we deserve a better tomorrow too.

If you have questions, please call myself or Business Agent Bobby O’Brien.

In Solidarity,

Bob Butler
